grateful for friends who check on me and care what's happening in my life...not the ones who call or contact cause they want something...the ones who just need to make sure my life is good...who just want to connect...
grateful for a decisive win over auburn...for trent richardson having a stellar game, as it improves his heisman bid and out bid for a rematch for the national title...
grateful for skype and the ability to talk to someone and see their face...that's a pretty cool thing...

Great post. What is sad is that since I got married, I have only one friend who still calls me to check on me and who seems to really care. I used to call people to say hi and most either don't call back or just don't care. I miss the friendships of childhood because they were easier and less complicated.

I know what you mean, Alissa! And I know how easy it is to get so busy that friendships fall by the wayside. We are forever running around chasing the urgent. Things got really challenging for me when I traveled so much and met so many people and it became so overwhelming to keep up with everyone I wanted to keep up with and to my discredit, I just didn't keep up with anyone. Maybe we can grab a coffee sometime while I am in town for Christmas. RTR!
